The Legend of Wooley Swamp - Charlie Daniels Band, 1980. Wooley Swamp is a real place near Elizabethtown, NC. The rest a made up tale by Daniels that comes off as a plausible urban legend. Does the area you live have any such tales? Let us know in replies if you like.

The Devil is an Englishman- Thomas Dolby from the 1986 film "Gothic". A sensationalized take on the true tale of how Mary Shelley ended up writing "Frankenstein". The devil in this case is Lord Byron, known for scandalous personal life and his bold political views. "Mad, bad, and dangerous to know" as Lady Catherine Lamb called him. Ever have the misfortune of knowing such a person?

Tribute - Tenacious D, 2002. The joke is a twist on "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". Told by a demon to play the best song in the world, but oh, dunno, so this is just a tribute. Have you ever gone to see a tribute band of a musical group?
