Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan: (10.13.1948 – 8.16.1997), was a world-renowned Pakistani musician. Considered to be one of the greatest singers ever recorded, he possessed extraordinary vocal abilities and could perform at a high level of intensity for several hours. Khan has recorded with Peter Gabriel, on the soundtrack to The Last Temptation of Christ, with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, on two songs for the soundtrack to Dead Man Walking, and with Canadian musician, Michael Brook.
