In music the term Americana is used to classify a genre that is made of a blend, in varying combinations and proportions, from among 2 or more American roots music traditions (such as bluegrass, folk, blues, traditional country and roots rock [pre-Beatles rock], among others). Quite often the subtle influence of other American forms, such as gospel or R&B, e.g., may also be felt or heard. Have you heard any of this hybrid kind of music before and if so do you like it? Haven't heard it

This song is a good example of what Americana is about. It's easy to hear the distinct musical influences, in varying measures, of the blues, folk, bluegrass and country and even a bit of gospel in the richly resonant voice of Darrell Scott. This genre of music is made by people who grew up in the 60's 70's and 80's exposed to and revering artists from all these different traditions and even pop and rock. Are you a fan of many different genres or do you tend to be more of a purist in your musical tastes?
I mostly only like just one kind of music
