The lights may be out on Broadway, and theatres everywhere, but that doesn't stop the creative minds of those who have found themselves with lots of time on their hands. Voice actor and comedian Ricky Downes III was so inspired with Disney+ Hamilton Live that he has recorded all of Act I of Hamilton... in the voices of all The Muppets. The original video is long (one hour, twelve minutes) but this is just a short clip of what he does. If you are interested, the full video can be found on YouTube. What do you think?

The pandemic has had a devastating impact on the world of theatre. Many wonder if live theatre can even survive, as productions everywhere have been postponed or cancelled. Broadway has cancelled all shows until January 2021, hundreds of road shows (travelling productions of plays and musicals that go from city to city) have postponed and cancelled shows. Have you been affected by any of these cancellations or postponements?

Theatres are trying to salvage the arts by putting their plays on film so they can still be enjoyed. The only problem with this, is that theatre online is not really theatre at all. It's not the way these productions were meant to be seen and heard and felt. My mother, who was a big theatre lover (having been born and raised in NYC and worked backstage in makeup) used to say "I would rather see a bad play than a good film". Do you enjoy going to live theatre?

Even when theatres reopen, will patrons feel comfortable sitting in such close quarters to strangers for over two hours. When theatres do resume performances, would you feel comfortable going?
