As I don't want to risk this survey getting rejected, this is among the minority of my contributions that is unpopulated by video content.

Whether in live performance, on a screen and/or only by audio, do you enjoy stand-up comedy?
Yes, and it's something I actively see out for entertainment.

Female comedians number among my favorite funny folk. But, when I want to write about distaff stand-ups for publication, I find that many of them I could cover base much of their shtick on their intimate lives or what they want out of that kind of intimacy, which I neither want to hear nor promote. Have you found the same tendency disproportionately among woman comics?

If you agree with my diagnosis of there being greater bawdiness among female comedians compared to their male counterparts nowadays, why do you think that to be the case?
The general trend toward public coarseness and loosening standards for profanity

A sense of empowerment in being able to speak candidly about a topic these comedians believe only men have been able to address with impunity, or even commendation, for so long

I have, however, heard and interviewed current female comics who have made light of this subject in what I'd term tasteful, or at least not really objectionable, ways. Which do think you'd find funny (and perhaps you've heard them already)?
An Evangelical Christian comic speaking of how she's not in the mood to be intimate with her husband after a long day of taking care of their children, doing housework, running errands, etc.

An Eastern Orthodox comedian poking fun at something she and her husband wanted to try in their boudoir but couldn't quite get the position correct (uttered with the same kind of matter-of-fact passion with which she extolls video gaming, fantasy literature and her other geeky interests)

A Roman Catholic stand-up speaking of the travails of childbirth and how, after having had so many children, she's made a baby shower registry at her favorite liquor store
