Act two - so what happens after "happily ever after"? Maybe something like this. Funny bit the characters realize at one point the narrator has been part of the problem telling their stories and he / she gets pulled into matters. All may not be as it seems, but all get their due in the end. Has been asked before here, but in the long run, do you feel all ends as it should, even though if not one wished for?

The Uses of Enchantment - a 1976 book by Bruno Bettelheim which analyzes fairy tales. In original form, some are quite violent. Step sisters cutting off toes or heels to fit in Cinderella's sliper, later blinded by crows for example. Red Riding Hood about preying men (wolves) and virginity. Despite that, think children get it without being scared. Something to be learned I'll recall when needed. Do you tend to think children are smarter than we take them for and 'get' such tales?
