Results: Golden Bachelor, the next chapter.

Last year, I did a survey on the new ABC show "Golden Bachelor" in which a senior bachelor looking for the love of his life the second time around. Did you ever watch that show?

At the end of the show, bachelor Gerry Turner (72) did choose and propose to Theresa Nist (70). Their marriage titled "Golden Wedding" was televised on January/4/2024. Here is a short clip of the emotional wedding and some activities leading up to the wedding ceremony. Do you think this kind of televised wedding along with some outrageous behaviors are strictly for show? I am embarrassed when I hear people saying these folks should act their age.

Well, just 3 months after the wedding, the golden couple is now divorcing. You can hear them talking about it in the video clip but basically, Theresa found it's hard to move away from her family and she also does not want to quit her job. Do you find it's more difficult for older folks who mostly have so much family ties to completely commit to a new relationship compared with young people who are free and ready to commit?

Despite what happened in the 1st ever "Golden Bachelor" show, it won't deter ABC to move on with the next Golden Bachelorette, this time it's a 61 y/o grandma looking for love, the show will air in the Fall. Would you tune in to watch another installment of seniors looking for love?
