The first Charlie commercial featured a lighthearted Shelley exiting the driver's seat of her Rolls Royce and entering a restaurant. She glided past Bobby Short who was singing, "There's a fragrance that's here today, and they call it — Charlie! A different fragrance that thinks your way, and they call it – Charlie!
