This is the actual photo, without the distortion. Yes, AI distortion is actually a hobby for some people who have (I assume) not much else to occupy their time. But the real issue is not the actual distortion, but the response it gets. Thousands of comments, with almost all of them focused on this woman's looks and questioning why this man wants to be with someone like that. As a society, we are too focused on looks, especially of other women. How many of you on here have commented on someone's looks either on social media, or in person?

Maybe these two people deserve some criticism, but not on their looks, but on their actions. As a society, we tend to focus too much on who is pretty, thin, tall, and so on. We criticize looks based on what we think is the ideal, and that ideal is often the product of severe dieting, diet drugs, intense workouts or plastic surgery -- all unattainable, and really, it should be unattainable. The body is not to be agonized over, picked apart, punished, obsessed about. It is meant to be enjoyed. As is. By talking about others in terms of looks, it demeans them as a person. We may not even realize how harmful what we say can be. If you make a comment about "look how pretty Linda is" or "wow, she really looks good now that she's lost weight", others who feel they do not look like "Linda" or are as thin as she is, see themselves in a different way. And this is especially important around young people. Will you try to not talk about others looks, even if you think it is a "compliment"?

When we talk about celebrities, the stakes are even higher. Instead of focusing on their talent, artistry, good nature, philanthropy, or countless other things, we seem to always focus on their appearance. And these people have both the money and resources to look a certain way, which most of us do not. We comment on how horrible fashion magazines are presenting unattainable body images that our children could and should not aspire to, yet we talk about celebrities in terms of "good looking", "thin" or so on. And let's not even get started on how most of us talk about aging celebrities. Comparing, discussing if they have had "work done", etc Can you see the danger of focusing on looks especially with celebrities?
