1. While out to eat recently for a favorite restaurant meal (Greek spinach pie/spanakopita w/ sides of paprika-sprinkled rice and canned peaches, a small Greek salad....don't spare the anchovy!...and rice pudding with whipped topping and cinnamon in case anyone's wondering), I was buttering the couple of slices of French bread that arrived with my salad...and only went through half a pad of butter at most. And with the pair of pancakes that came with the omelet I ordered while out for breakfast with friends earlier the same week, I went through one butter pad to top them both. So, I've only recently concluded that I'm usually only interested in butter enhancing, not overwhelming, the taste of the food on which I put it. How about you?
