As you may have already guessed from what might be construed as the implication of this survey's title, I get many of the eggs I eat from friends who land on which they let chickens roam freely. Do you obtain eggs from friends with property on which they keep chickens?
Yes, I've at least one such friend or set of friends.

On some of the latest eggs I got from one couple, I encountered something new to me in what their birds produce: chicken dung on some of the eggs' shells. It was well encrusted onto the shells (so it wouldn't fall into the yolks and whites), and since I'm not about to eat ANY shells purposefully, I've been using the dumped-on eggs. Would, or have, you eat(en) such eggs?

Another feature of eggs from my friends' poultry is that rarely--if ever?--are their shells white. In my experience, shell color has no effect on the taste of what's inside, but I enjoy cracking eggs in shades of brown, blue, and green. Do you ever eat eggs with shells that aren't white?

Would you believe that also goes in streaks?!/ Eggs I eat are invariably purchased and prepared by someone else (so I don't know).
