1. Blue zones are particular regions around the world where their inhabitants tend to live longer up to 100 or more years. Some well known locations are Okinawa ( Japan), Sardinia ( Italy) and Loma Linda ( California). Do you wish you could live to a 100 or more years?
2. For over 20 years studying these people lifestyles, researchers have found that they all have 4 things in common. 1. They move around naturally which means their daily activities require them to be active and non-sedentary. 2. They eat plant-based or mostly plant-based diets. 3. They have a sense of purpose. 4. They have strong Social Networks. Upon learning this, I thought aren't we trying to do all these things nowadays? Well, maybe not for the ones who still insist on living the unhealthy way. Do you think one can achieve longevity and healthy life by following these 4 key characteristics no matter where one is?
3. On another view, the key words are healthy life. I do not wish to live long if suffered from lingering and debilitating illnesses. If you had a choice, would you?
Wish to live as long as I could, sick or healthy.
Longevity is not important but having a good, healthy life is. So when it's not worth living anymore, I'll deal with it myself.
I'll just go with the flow and let nature take it course.
