According to family lore (suspect at best) my grandmothers had very different reactions to coming into contact with poison ivy.

It was claimed that Grandma was so reactive to poison ivy, that she could break out in a rash if she drove past it in a car with the windows open. Fact-checking seems to indicate this was not possible. What do you think?

On the other hand, Nanny was said to be able to pull out poison ivy (ungloved) by the roots without getting a rash. I saw her do this myself. Research indicates some people actually are not sensitive to poison ivy. What do you think?
