There is an extremely rare medical condition called hematidrosis that causes a person to sweat blood without a cut or injury. It can present as blood or sweat with droplets of blood in it. It's not serious, and the bleeding generally stops on its own, but it can cause dehydration and is definitely unsettling.

I was reading about Jesus sweating blood in the Garden of Gethsemane before HIs crucifixion (Luke 22:44) when the author of the article mentioned that there is an actual medical condition that causes sweating blood from the face, nose, mouth, etc. Have you ever heard of hematidrosis?

One theory is that hematidrosis occurs when capillaries rupture during high levels of psychological stress, causing blood to seep into the sweat glands and then out onto the skin. Have you ever known anyone who experienced sweating blood?

An alternate theory is that some people might have atypical little pockets within the structure of their skin that could collect blood and allow it to leak into hair follicles or onto the skin's surface. Have you ever experienced hematidrosis yourself?
