This series shares the backstories (many of which are unsettling) of how some stars acquired scars. I find the adaptability and perseverance of these survivors inspiring.

Jason Momoa worked as a model in Hawaii, and appeared in series like "Baywatch Hawaii" and "Stargate: Atlantis" before he acquired his scar. At 28, during an altercation in a club, a guy smashed a pint glass in his face that shattered. Momoa's injury required over 140 sutures. His attacker pleaded not guilty to charges of assault with a deadly weapon, but was found guilty and sentenced to 5 years in prison. Have you ever been in a fight with a stranger?

Momoa said, "I got called 'pretty boy' my whole life"; and credits his scars with helping him to land rugged action-packed roles. He was very successful in roles in TV's "Game of Thrones" and the "Aquaman" films. Would you be resilient and philosophical if you sustained a facial injury like Momoa's?
