This series shares the backstories (many of which are unsettling) of how some stars acquired scars. I find the adaptability and perseverance of these survivors inspiring.

American singer-songwriter and producer Charlie Puth first found success performing song covers in YouTube videos that went viral. The classically trained pianist with perfect pitch reached international top charts by singing and writing the "Furious 7" soundtrack "See You Again" with rapper Wiz Khalifa. Although some people think he shaves his eyebrow, Puth actually bears a scar from a near-fatal attack by a Labrador. Two-year-old Charlie pulled on the tail of someone's formerly-abused dog, and he suffered head trauma requiring over 400 stitches. Fortunately, Puth was not emotionally damaged, and has had dogs as pets. Do you have any physical scars caused by animals?

Some of Puth's diehard fans think he shaves his brow, and have shaved bits of their eyebrows to replicate his signature look. "Everyone keeps asking about why my eyebrow is like this," said Puth. He has asked fans to "spread the word" that his brow is not a fashion statement, but a scar. Have you ever copied a celebrity's facial feature as a show of fandom?
