An estimated 5.9 million Canadian adults still lack a regular family doctor, nurse practitioner, or primary care team, according an OurCare survey. Surveying over 16,000 Canadians, the study finds that while access to care has improved slightly since 2022, gains have been uneven. For example, only 74.7% of young people have a regular primary care clinician, compared to 87.7% of those 65 and older. Income also plays a significant role in access to care.
