Health & Fitness
I was just diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. It is a condition where one or more of the seven facial nerves do not function or do not function completely. It is thought to be caused by a viral infection and only affects one side of the face. Due to facial drooping it can be mistaken for a stroke but there is no loss of brain function and the body below the head is unaffected. I am not sure if many Tellwutters have or have had this condition but just a few questions about your experiences if you have.

I am already following the doctor's prescription of an initial course of prednisone and antivirals, plus continuing day and night lubrication for the affected eye (which fortunately is still able to close). If you have any other comments on managing this condition would you like to add them in the comment section below the survey.
