2. Here's a simple test to see if you breathe correctly: Place your right hand on your chest and your left hand on your abdomen. Take a deep breath. If your left hand rises first and farthest you're breathing correctly, using your diaphragm. Which are you?

I'm a diaphragm breather
3. When you breathe with your chest you're only utilizing a small portion of your lung capacity. This is a much less efficient use of oxygen and can cause an oxygen debt. When the diaphragm is utilized, it allows for added capacity of oxygen. Also, the lower portion of the lungs is said to be more efficient at delivering oxygen. Breathing into your abdomen allows for optimal use of lung capacity as intended by nature. Did you already know this information?
4. How to practice correct breathing: Place one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen. Take a deep breath expanding your abdomen as you inhale for three seconds. Exhale for six seconds. Repeat deep, slow, relaxing breaths. Are you going to practice this technique?
