In response to the measles outbreak, some parents whose children have contracted measles are having measles parties so that other parents can intentionally infect their own children so they will not have to vaccinate them. Have you heard of this before this survey? Yes

The down side to this is that it gives sustained life to the outbreak as an infected person is contagious long before symptoms appear, usually around four days. This allows plenty of opportunity for those who were unaware they had successfully infected their child to spread the disease to others in the community. Were you aware of the relatively long incubation time for measles? Yes
