1. Do you know what the medical condition plantar fasciitis is?
2. Plantar fasciitis (PLAN-tur fas-e-I-tis) is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It involves pain and inflammation of a thick band of tissue, called the plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes. Have you ever suffered from this condition?
3. Some possible treatments for plantar fasciitis are: Physical therapy (i.e.) stretches three or more times a day; orthotics or shoe inserts (special arch supports) to distribute the weight on the foot more evenly; or night splints, which holds the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon in a lengthened position overnight and facilitates stretching. If you have ever dealt with this condition, did you try any of these treatments? If so, please mention your experience with them in the comments.
4. If you haven't dealt with plantar fasciitis yourself, do you know of anyone who has?
