1. While recently compiling a YouTube&Vimeo playlist/mix tape for a friend, I recalled that one of the singers I included is someone whose last show I saw before he had a heart attack within 24 hours of his performance and died not long thereafter. Have you ever knowingly seen the final performance of a singer, musician, stand-up comic, stage actor, etc. before s/he died?
No, not that I'm aware
Yes, but I found out much later after the event
I don't attend live entertainment&arts events where I could have witnessed such a thing.
2. If ever you have seen someone's last gig before s/he passed on, what feelings did you experience regarding seeing that person (or group?) the last time they took that stage?
Nothing out of the ordinary
Other/s, which I may share in a comment
3. There was also at least one time where I was looking forward to the possibility of reviewing a concert by another of my favorite singers, known to be in precarious health at the time, and he died not many months before the date I'd wanted to see him play. Have you ever planned to see someone perform who died before their scheduled appearance?
Yes, I was in the same situation at least once;I may make a comment about it below.
No, I don't believe that has ever been my experience.
I don't partronize live arts&entertainment, so I couldn't have been in that predicament.
4. If you were planning to see someone's scheduled performance before s/he passed on, did you already have a ticket to the show?
Someone else may have purchased a ticket for me, but I'm unsure.
I don't take in live shows, so it's no issue for me.
