Results: Running the red light

I have noticed lately that more and more people are driving through the red light when your light has already turned green. Have you seen that where you live?

I have the habit now that when my light turns green I look both ways before I venture out. Do you do that?

This morning on the way to work I almost got killed. I was at a red light and there was a car in front of me at the red light also. Our light turned green, the car in front of me went through on the green light and I proceeded to follow him when a truck came from my left speeding through the red light he had. I slammed on my brakes and missed getting hit by him. At the speed he was going I have no doubt I would have been dead had I not been paying attention. I have never seen that happen when someone has already gone though the intersection on a green light. Have you?
