Imagine you are at a medical clinic for a doctor's visit. The building catches fire and everyone must immediately evacuate. As you head for the exit, you glance to the left into an exam room and see a 2 year old child all alone and crying. To the right is another exam room where fertility treatments are done, and there sits a test tube filled with a dozen fertilized human eggs. No one else is around, and you have only a few seconds to run into just one of these rooms and still make it out of the building alive. You must make an immediate decision. Which would you choose to save...the toddler or the test tube?
