Have you ever made a tiny error on your income tax return filing and found it incredibly difficult to send in the fix?

I filed my 2025 tax return a few weeks ago in early March and received a refund already. But, after I filed it, I received 2 very small T3 slips both less than $30 (Canada, investment interest income), which only arrived in the mail very very late. I didn't even know about them as I only bought the investment in the fall of 2025. Since I already filed the return, now I have to re-file. Has this ever happened to anyone?

I tried to use the "refile" option with the tax software I had used to do the original filing as it suggested. But it's very complicated! I used to work in an accounting type of job so I cannot understand how an average person can do it (which must be myself). I may need to return to that. Has anyone been successful doing such a thing?

Another option is to use the Change My Return option on the government website (in Canada this is the CRA). It is equally daunting. I tried to phone to ask which option I should use and to have them make a note on my file that I am fixing it, as there can be penalties. BUT I have tried to call for weeks and it says the call volume is too high and disconnects. Has anybody else been frustrated by call center lines?

I might send an email but I cannot find that option on the portal. Seeing how I never made a mistake that I know of, on taxes, in 35 years, I need to fix this ASAP as I heard there is a possibility of up to a $500 penalty! Has anyone else been so concerned about forgetting $60 income? (keeping in mind that the govt already has these late t3 slips from the issuers by now).
