A few years ago, people were encouraged to 'just stay positive' no matter what came their way or how it affected them. This gave way to 'toxic positivity', which is the excessive focus on maintaining a positive mindset at the expense of acknowledging and processing negative emotions, which may lead to emotional suppression and prevent individuals from dealing with their true feelings. I like this mindset better, how about you?
