Results: What Happens to the Profiles of the Deceased?
I have people I know on social media who have passed away. 5 on Facebook and 1 here on TW (not social media but same idea).
Does anyone wonder what happens to the profiles?

Of the 5 people who were on my Facebook friends list, 1 profile is gone (I suspect the person's daughter contacted the admins to have it deleted rather than memorialized), but the other 4 remain still there. I noticed they still get birthday greetings, some say heavenly bday and some bday wishers seem oblivious of the person having passed a few years ago. Does anyone know, will these profiles remain forever, frozen in time, or will they ever be removed? They might be removed?

Of those who passed I was aware of the circumstances of 3 of them. But I only discovered the other 2 had passed when I hadn't seen them posting for a while and browsed their profile and discovered they were gone. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Yes
