In June of 2017, 31-year-old Mark Grayson Davis, a corps dancer with American Ballet Theatre, saw an unconscious man who had struck his head lying on the subway tracks in New York City. Following an altercation, a woman had pushed the victim off the platform. Gray Davis said, "instinct took over", and he leaped onto the tracks. He rolled the man over his shoulder, lifted him to the platform, at which point some bystanders pulled him to safety. Davis used his ballet training to swing his leg onto the ledge, and once elevated, was also lifted to the platform. How do you view male ballet dancers?
