White is the color of weddings in Western cultures, and the color of funerals in Eastern cultures.
Red is the color of good luck in China, the color of purity in India, and the color of excitement in Western cultures.
Red is also the color of mourning for some African cultures and represents the earth in Aboriginal cultures
Pink is *now* the color for little girls and blue for little boys in Western culture, but at one time these were reversed
Orange is the color for happiness in Eastern cultures, and pale orange is a sacred color for Hindus
