Years ago I read about someone who applied fun rules to a hobby. A friend and I loved to eat out so we decided to eat at restaurants following the alphabet. Applebee's, Bennigan's, Culver's... that sort of thing. Does this appeal to you? Yes

My kids and I would walk after school/work each day. We would take turns naming animals or foods or whatever according to the alphabet. It kept them occupied while we walked. Do this sound like something fun to do with children? Yes
