My mom joined a survey site (different one since she's in a different country) and I'm having deja'vu from when she started using a PC. I told her to answer accurately and honestly because she might get blocked otherwise and she's taking the advice to a whole new level. Here's her first question: She's asked in the profile if she has kids (or is legal guardian). I'm pretty sure she's supposed to say if there are kids at home, and probably refer to under 18 y.o.'s, but from her perspective... I'm her kid and I live in a completely different country, not just household. And i'm obviously > 18 so the follow-up question asking for age of kids would have me on "above 18". Grandkids don't live with her so... not applicable either. How should she answer the "do you have children?" question? Answer "no kids" (they only care if kids are in the household).

Another question I didn't realize could be confusing is about work. She's helping a neighbor babysit their kids. No employment contract, but she is getting paid. It's technically a part time job. And she is retired, so that's also applicable. Is she: Part time employed

Now, the problem this opened up for me is... in a way I have a similar problem. I'm employed full time (main income), but have a side business (nothing big, but it is still a legal business structure and it's making money) and offer part time work as well (infrequent and definitely few hours here and there, but does have extra $$$). I've always selected full time employment, but when my mom started asking, i'm wondering if i'm missing survey opportunities by not being a C-level in the side business. The screening questions in surveys only allow me to select one option. What would you select? Go with the main income selection: that's your primary
