Author and commentator Karen Armstrong is a former Roman Catholic Religious Sister. She went from a more conservative view to more liberal and Mystical Christian faith. She has written more than 20 books about faith and the main religions. The first book i came across of hers was The History of God: The 4,000-Year Quest of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It traces the history of how men and women have perceived and experienced God, from the time of Abraham to the present. And it shows us how Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have overlapped and influenced one another. Have you heard of this book or Author? Would you want to read it?

Dr Dan McClellan is a scholar of the Bible and religion focusing on conceptualizations of deity, scripture, and religious identity. He has a TikTok account that i follow where he discusses religious texts and often uses his platform to correct other creators who make claims about the meaning and history of religious text. I watch a lot of his content and only recently learned he is a Mormon. This has somewhat change my perspective on him and how he justifies being a scholar of the bible while also believing in a more recent and sometimes strange religion of Mormonism. What are your thoughts? Have you come across his account on social media? Do you find it somewhat contradictory that he can be so learned about the bible and ancients texts while believing in a religion started by a man who claimed he got his teaching from some golden plates he found that nobody ever seen but him?

When i was in high school i would always see these commercials for a free book from the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. Being curious I ordered one and read through it when i received it. About 6 months later i started getting phone calls every week asking if I would like to have someone come by to talk to me about the book. I got the book being unaware that there were even Mormons in my small northern canada town. Eventually they stopped bothering me. Did you ever order that book? Did you get any visitors because of it?

Have you seen the Broadway Musical The Book of Mormon? I have and before finally seeing it in person i would listen to the soundtrack a lot. The humour comes from some of the more out there parts of the Mormon religion. After hearing the soundtrack I came across this animated video on YouTube explaining the Mormon belief system. Have you seen this before?
