A couple of weeks ago, the Republican Party's Dallas convention aired a video titled "God Made tRump," styled after Paul Harvey's "So God Made a Farmer." The narration claims that on June 14, 1946, "God looked down ...and said, 'I need a caretaker,' so God gave us tRump," adding that God needed someone to "fix this country, fight the Marxists," and be "gentle enough to deliver his own grandchild." The video drew sharp criticism from religious and political commentators, while supporters praised it as a faith-based tribute.
