Guitar-shaped forest - Argentinean lowlands, the Pampas - Love is the reason that a giant guitar-shaped forest exists here. A local farmer named Pedro Martin Ureta created a perfect guitar shape, complete with a star-shaped hole in the middle. He planted cypress trees to form the outline, and blue eucalyptus trees to accent the strings on the neck of the guitar. He chose the design in memory of his late wife, Graciela, who passed away suddenly in 1977. She loved the instrument and he wanted to memorialize her on their land. His touching tribute stretches two-thirds of a mile in length, and has become a favorite sight for pilots and passengers who regularly fly over the region. Not only can it be seen from a plane, his land art is also visible from space. Ureta is afraid of flying and has seen photos but not a "sky view". Do you think this a touching love story?

Spired Towers - Fisherman's Bastion - Budapest - One of the most popular tourist sites in Budapest, with a mesmerizing view of the Danube River and Hungary's ornate Parliament Building. The original hilltop castle was built as a defensive structure during the 16th century. It overlooked a part of the city called Watertown, where fishermen lived and worked. However, much of the original structure was destroyed and rebuilt over the years. The current structure was built in 1895 for Hungary's millennial celebration. It is notable for its seven spired towers, which represent the seven tribes that originally settled Hungary in the 19th century. Are you familiar with this castle?

Walled City of Shibam - Yemen - A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 16th-century city has been called "the Manhattan of the desert." Constructed from soil surrounding the city, the buildings are a mixture of dirt, hay, and water fashioned into bricks and baked in the sun. The entire city is built on a rectangular grid plan within a fortified wall for protection from rival tribes and other enemies. The densely packed design also keeps the buildings shaded from the desert sun, while connecting bridges and doors offer a quick escape. While impressive, the structures require constant upkeep to keep them stable against erosion caused by wind, rain, and heat. Have you visited this site?
