Despite its location in the English countryside, Wolford Chapel in Devon, U.K. is the property of Ontario, Canada. This chapel is the final resting place of John Graves Simcoe, the first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada (Ontario). He founded Toronto (then called York), and made notable efforts and progress in the abolition of slavery in the region. Although the estate, including the chapel was bought Sir Geoffrey Harmsworth, and he initially considered physically transporting the chapel to Canada, he instead decided to simply donate the land and chapel to the people of Ontario. To this day, it is owned by Ontario and flies the Canadian flag. Have you ever visited Devon, U.K.?

Solvang, California, known as "The Danish Capital of America," is a unique town in Santa Barbara that feels like a trip to Denmark. In 1911, a group of Danish-American educators, united by a shared vision, established Solvang on 9,000 acres of land surrounding the historic Old Mission Santa Ines. Purchased for approximately $75,000, this land marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Danish community in California. Named "Solvang" (meaning "sunny field"), the founders advertised the new colony in Danish-language newspapers, attracting early buyers, almost all Danish, from California, the Midwest, and Denmark. This "Little Denmark" features authentic pastries, Danish-styled buildings, and replicas of Danish landmarks, offering a European experience. The Oscar award winning film "Sideways" was filmed almost entirely on-location throughout Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley. Have you ever visited this town?
