Burial Hill Cemetery located in Plymouth, Massachusetts is a historic 17th- century cemetery, known as the final resting place for many early settlers and pilgrims and also veterans of the early wars. Located approximately 165 feet above sea level; the cemetery is approximately 5.1 acres and contains over 2,200 marked graves dating from 1681-1957 along with numerous unmarked graves. The earliest burials were initially marked with wooden posts. Some of the notable burials there are William Bradford, the governor of Plymouth County, and Mary Allerton Cushman, the last surviving passenger of the Mayflower. Do you know your family's lineage?
