Horses - some do like beer. it's made from grains they'd typically eat. Given on rare occasions as a treat or sweating conditions. If you own an animal of any type, ever gave it some beer to see what they think about it?

Drunk - it would take quite a bit to make a 900 to 1200 pound horse totally intoxicated. Also problems with diarrhea or weight gain if overused. Are cases of fermented fruit though, such as "Fat Boy" in 2008 who fell into a swimming pool in Cornwall. Has a pet or animal you own ever seem to be intoxicated on something, alcohol or not?
