One of my children has a learning disability secondary to being on the spectrum of Autistic disorders. Are you familiar with what it means to be "on the spectrum"?

Such children need a highly supportive environment in order to succeed in school. Here are the things I do for my son to support him, check off the things you would have done in my situation:
Check the school website daily for homework

Getting him off the computer (with a huge argument) to do his homework

Some of these children learn some things very well and can even excell like my grandson 0.03% 1
i had a friend who lost their autistic child at 30 because she felt she needed more freedom and stopped monetoring her medications and she died due to not taking the meds like she was suppose to be taking. autistic should never be on their own. 0.03% 1

Change his diet, many people have found that the elimination of food intolerances like gluten and dairy have helped to put this "disease" in remission. I know of one parent who was told that her child would never function normally...not so. 0.03% 1

I realize that my son might never go to post-secondary education or even have an employment. Do you think it is a wasting of energy for a parent like me to work so hard to help the child to finish his high school?
