1. So my daughters Father who took off when she was 1 to live in a different state, wasn't around for years started calling us when she was 5 to speak to her at the time it was on a daily basis now it's every other day. I made this change because my daughter got frustrated since he always tried to make her do all the talking he would never have anything to really talk about ever just would and still tried to make her do all the talking. She on the other hand is 8 years old and doesn't have that he great of an attention Span. Now he doesn't like the fact that he can't just call her whenever he feels like it. (Every day multiple times a day.) He's been trying to get me to let her have her own smart phone with service. Instead of him calling me and me deciding when he talks to her. He's been bringing this up for 2 years now since she was 6 years old. I don't think it's necessary or appropriate for my 8 years old to be given a smartphone with service. Since she isn't anywhere near mature or responsible enough for a phone. What I want to know is If I'm right in feeling this way yes or no?
