The authors of this bill propose to add declawing to a list of acts of animal cruelty. Violators would face up to $1,000 fine and 6 months and jail. They say it is a barbaric practice that does not remove the desire to scratch, just the ability. Detractors say this practice should be between an owner and their vet. Would you support such a law in your state? Yes
