My dog was attacked by a stray cat the other day. I don't like it when people just open the door and let their cat out. I have some questions for TW members about this.

If a stray and not collared cat attacked, what do you think an appropriate response is? The cat could be feral and or rabid, defend yourself with all means at your disposal.

If the attacked dog fought back and it or the cat was injured, there is no way to advise the cat owner. Since the cat owner can't pay the vet bill the cat might have to be euthanized.
