A cat went to extreme lengths to ensure he was included on a family trip. When the Denardo family of Kittanning, Pa. set off on a road trip to New Hampshire and New York, they had no idea that their cat Ray Ray was on top of their van. After driving about 100 miles, and stopping for gas, they discovered that the stowaway cat had been on the van's roof the whole time. They had been driving through hills at speeds of 70 miles per hour. Instead of turning around, the family decided to take the cat along. They stopped at a pet store to pick up essentials. Ray Ray was then able to take part in the New Hampshire marathon with the husband, while remaining in a cat backpack during their time in New York City. One cat in B.C. has become a bit of a tourist attraction. At the far end of Vancouver's busy English Bay Beach, a steady stream of curious onlookers focus a large tree stump. Sitting on top is Mittens, a fluffy white cat wearing a bright yellow hat. Unlike many of her species, Mittens seems totally unfazed by the constant attention from strangers, even those who reach up to give her a pet. Mittens is deaf, notes her owner, Mark Nemethy, which may explain why she doesn't get scared. The unusual cat had become a local celebrity this summer. Many evenings around sunset, Nemethy will place her down in the sand near the Cactus Club Cafe, and follow her as she struts directly to her favourite perch. Nemethy says what he loves is seeing the way Mittens will brighten people's day – especially those who really need a pick-me-up. And Mittens has become so famous, she's become somewhat of an Instagram celebrity, with Nemethy considering starting up her own Instagram page. Do you know any pets that have their own Instagram page?
