My mother's collection, of course, does not begin to compare to Imelda Marcos' fabulous 3000 pairs, of which 756 are displayed in the Marikina Shoe Museum in the Philippines. Have you been to the Philippines?

I won't get to wear my mother's shoes, size 7.5 (38 Euro), as they are too big for me. So are Imelda Marcos' shoes size 8.5 (39 Euro). Can you guess the size of the largest shoes ever made? They were for Robert Wadlow, born 1918 in Alton, Illinois. As an adult he was 8' 11" and wore size 37 (75 Euro) shoes. He worked as an Ambassador for the Peter's Shoe Company, gifting size 37 shoes to the stores he visited across America. Have you ever seen a pair of Wadlow shoes?
