Herschel Supply Co. has become an international brand in a short span and has shown it's possible for Canadian companies to become popular in the fast-paced world of globalized retail. Founded in 2009 by the Cormack brothers, Herschel has gone from selling roughly 8,000 backpacks in its first year to now selling millions of bags and additionally wallets, hats and other accessories.

Herschel products are now sold in more than 70 countries and appear all over from high-end department stores to the Apple Store and their own online shop. "We're growing hand over fist, not only in regions we already sell, but geographically we're opening new territory, so it's going to be a pretty fun next couple of years,'' Cormack said in a recent interview.
