From 2000 - 2015, JCPenney's always had a snowglobe giveaway on Black Friday. Mostly all Mickey Mouse themed between 2002 - 2015. Usually always given away at opening in the early morning on Black Friday. I remember starting in 2003, my momma would wake me up early at 4 AM on Black Friday to go shop in general but mostly she wanted the snowglobe, we went each year up til the final year in 2015 to get one. I do recall even on Thanksgiving day we got one as well when stores were opening on Thanksgiving instead of Friday. Do you like snowglobes in general?

In 2000 there were three snowglobes non dated ones they gave out that were different but still Disney based. They were a Tigger, a Winnie the Pooh Bear with Piglet, and Lucky from 101 Dalmatians. Did you ever get one of these prior to the Mickey ones later?

2001 they had a duo of Mickey and Minnie Mouse still non dated. This was the beginning of the Mickey Mouse era of globes before dates began to be added the following year. Did you ever get your hands on both? Maybe just one of these?

2002 - 2015 Mickey Mouse became the staple for JCPenney's going forwarded and dated with a different theme each year. Did you ever get your hands on any of them during those years?

For a while, people assumed it was over and JCPenney's was never going to bring them back. But that all changed in 2024 when they announced they were bringing back their famous Black Friday giveaway. In the form of an Elf snowglobe. People who had a dedicated Facebook page to their snowglobe giveaways were excited of the news of their return. People posted lines and photos of them receiving their precious return. Personally I remember standing outside last year at 4 AM in the freezing cold waiting with a coffee in hand with my momma for one of these. Sadly days prior to getting deathly sick. But we got one in the end after freezing outside! Did you get one of these last year?

This last one is to tell everyone that this year they are indeed doing it again! I want everyone reading this to have a chance to get the 2025 version! Yes at 5 AM in your time zone. They are giving away a Snoopy snowglobe! Yes Snoopy from the Peanuts. And no I'm not being paid by JCPenney's lol I just wanna share a tradition my momma and I have had for many years.
