I was far from an athlete in high school, but in my final year i was guilted into playing volleyball, badminton, and track and field because most of the kids in my year were stoners and party animals and we barely had enough people to make a team for anything. Did you play any high school sports?

I joined track and field mainly for the strength events like shotput, javelin, discus, but because the team was so small i had to also do the relay and and 100 yard dash races as well as the long jump, triple jump. I was 6'1 and around 230 lbs, so i wasn't light on my feet at all. Did you join track and field at all in high school? Yes i was a track superstar

I grew up in a small town with one high school, so we didn't have a lot of team sports where we compete with other schools, except hockey. Maybe its only in movies but it seems that most high schools in the U.S. had multiple teams sports, basketball, football, wrestling, cheerleading, etc. Most likely because of your population density in certain areas. Did you grow up in a city or town where your high school at multiple sports competing with other high schools? Yes
