4. Las Vegas has had 2 minor hockey teams in the past: the Thunder (1993-1999) and the Wranglers (2003-2014), who both folded due to the loss of their playing space. Although Las Vegas is not seen as a traditional "hockey market", there is an abundance of hype surrounding the city's application for an NHL team. A $375-million, 650,000 sq ft arena is slated to be finished in spring 2016. Do you believe that Las Vegas is a good place to have an NHL team?
