Chicken Soup for the Soul is a series of books, usually featuring a collection of short, inspirational stories and motivational essays. Motivational speakers Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen collaborated on the first Chicken Soup for the Soul book, in 1993, compiling inspirational, true stories they had heard from their audience members. The book was rejected by major publishers in New York but accepted by a small, self-help publisher in Florida called HCI. Did you read the very first book of the series?

Today Chicken Soup for the Soul Publishing continues to publish about a dozen new books per year. All their books are based on the simple premise: Changing the World One Story At A Time or that people could help each other by sharing stories about their lives.
