World Photography Day is an annual, worldwide celebration of the art, craft, science and history of photography. Since the early 19th century, photography has become an ever-increasing medium of personal expression and appreciation for countless people around the world. Here are some fun facts about photography. How many did you already know?
The first person who managed to make a "photographic" snapshot constant, that is to fix the image was Joseph Niepce. The very first snapshot in the history of photography is considered "view from the window," dated 1826. The exposure of the shot lasted 8 Hours. That's the picture above.

These days it's easier than ever to be a photographer, with cell phones taking incredible pictures. Many feel that this generation overshares photos to the extent that your image can be used without you either giving permission, or knowing about it. To see if your image is on the internet, it is easy. Just go to "Google", type in your name, and search images. If you see your image there, you can quickly find out who is using it. When I did this, I found a family photo was being used by a wedding photographer that did not actually take the image. Have you ever tried this?
