Trivia
I love to drive so naturally I love to take road trips. My Husband & I like to take extended weekend road trips to surrounding states every couple of months. I research ahead of time for places to visit such as landmarks and museums. Here is a list of the oddest landmarks, monuments, headstones, statues, or attractions from Alabama to Wyoming (and including Washington D.C.).

Colorado - Tucked into southwest Colorado's San Juan Mountains is the small town of Creede, where you'll find a giant fork propped up against the side of a building. Forty feet long and weighing more than 600 pounds, the aluminum fork is an art display that was specifically built by the owners of a restaurant and rental cabins to beat out the size of another fork in Springfield, Missouri. Have you ever visited this fork?

Connecticut - In 2012 "Wild Bill" Ziegler opened up one of the buildings on his sprawling Nostalgia Center property as an artists' studio. One day in 2013 artists Joe McCarthy and Peter Albano were walking around, admiring Wild Bill's vast collection of junk, when they noticed three rusting Yugos: one red, one white, one blue. Inspired, they figured out how to balance the cars on their noses atop fiberglass beach balls, and unveiled the work of public art on the property in the late Spring of 2014. They titled it, "I'd Go Where Yugo Stanley Marsh 3," in honor of the late Mr. 3, who sponsored the famous Cadillac Ranch in Texas, which features Cadillacs buried in the ground -- on their noses. Delaware - A giant doctor's bag sits outside the Apex Medical Center in Newark, Delaware. However, the only person fit to carry this bag around is a literal giant, seeing as it's nearly 20 feet tall! Have you ever visited this bag?

Florida - Known as the shelling capital of the world, it's only fitting that Fort Myers would be home to The Shell Factory, which claims to be the largest seashell retailer in the world. In addition to shells, visitors will find the largest taxidermy collection in North America and changing displays like the "Year Round Christmas House." There's also a restaurant, trampoline, zip lines, and bumper boats on the 18-acre property. Have you ever visited The Shell Factory?
